Outdoor Wedding Weather
A great planning tool for Outdoor Weddings. Written by: Vin Crosby August 22, 2006
Planning for a wedding is a very complicated thing and the K.I.S.S. method of Keep It Simple Silly just doesn't fly even with the smallest of weddings. (This excludes going to Reno or Vegas). However with
any type of
wedding large or small you
understand certain terms. The terms Wedding cake, wedding dress, wedding flowers, or Bride are easily understood when planning a wedding. Wedding weather well that's a whole different story. Odds are that a forecast like, "A confluent jet stream moving into the northwest with a lot of upper level support for the the surface cold front for your wedding.", won't make much sense. Or
the traditional 30% chance of showers in the afternoon doesn't tell you that 1.50" of rain is going to fall and on a certain wedding party! That's why
The Outdoor Wedding Indextm from BridalWeather.com was created. It's
simple, accurate and your flower girl and ring bearer at
age six can interpret it! You want to look at a
weather map find your location and know the answer to, "Do I need a back up plan?", or "Should we even be outside?". How about being a week away or maybe a week and a half away and already having a very good idea that your possibly using a
back up plan? I think that would be
extremely useful! And the
Outdoor Wedding Weather Index is color schemed with
Green, Yellow, and
Red. Guess what color means what?! It's that simple. Now you take that tool and
combind it with a meteorologist that's been a forecaster at The Weather Channel, NBC, FOX,
taught N.A.T.O. commanding officers forecast techniques, and has made over 1 million forecasts for small towns and major cities accross the country, and you have something that's simple and works.
